The focal point of the collection is Lucian Freud, his sitters and muses. After studying all of his paintings, I chose twelve works. From these I selected twelve subjects and analysed in depth their backgrounds and the clothes they wore.
To build the silhouettes, I drew on the spontaneous, organised chaos of his studio and the depth with which he depicted the human body. I was also drawn to the extreme volumes of fabric lying on the studio floor and in the paintings, set against his elegant home and unique way of life.
